About the Ministry

The mission of our Leisure Ministries outreach program is to provide recreational
activities for the community, as well as Bethany members, as a means of
encouraging Christian fellowship.

Bethany United

needs of the greater
Summerville area since
1857. For most of our
history, Bethany was a
small village church
nestled in sleepy
Summerville. But as
Summerville has
awakened to the reality of
its lure as an ideal place
to live and work, Bethany
has grown to meet the
needs of a growing
community.

Leisure, Sports and Wellness

From our community basketball program in the winter, to year round men's
basketball and adult volleyball leagues , the Bethany Gym is the place to be for
fellowship in sports!
We also offer a variety of Leisure activities such as summer adventure and sports
camps and an annual golf tournament. Wellness activities include a senior
walking program, an exercise room and CPR & first aid training.
